This web page reveals the incredible pace of 5G deployments. In South Korea it is claimed that 21% of all mobile traffic is now running on a 5G network. South Korea benefited from an extensive wired network capable of supporting backhaul needs, but for many other parts of the world extensive networks do not exist.
